Color blocking: the pairing of two or three totally different colors together to make a bold statement
The color blocking trend has been on the business for a while, however, it was made quite popular in 2012/2013 where it was often seen on runway shows as well as on the red carpet.

 Why don't you try it?

Color blocking does not necessarily have to be implemented on clothes only, but it can also mean adding a bright bold statement purse to your monotone colored outfit or vice versa. Similarly, stars are often seen adding bold accessories and jewelry to their also bold outfit. This type color blocking
is where one must choose carefully, but also have fun with their outfit!

The likes of Salma Hayek, Rashida Jones and Julianne Moore have been spotted wearing color blocking dresses with clutches of a different color, making a statement on the red carpet.

One way of color blocking which I particularly like is adding a bold colored blazer to your more neutral base of outfit.
