The beginning of the fashion month of September came to an end with New York Fashion Week, which showcased many designers Spring/Summer 2016 collections. The doors for London Fashion week are finally opened, giving me the chance to finally put together the highlights which I personally loved from New York Fashion Week.

The shows this year were incredible with amazingly styled outfits by many designers; I have personally noticed many trends which I know I will be really into by 2016 spring/summer. I will be sharing with you today my personal highlights from this very highly anticipated week of creativity.

Starting with my personal favorite: Givenchy.  This year, Givenchy impressed with their ability to really showcase art and creation with clothes and accessories. To all of you who really followed New York Fashion Week, must have been informed about the beautiful masks which were interpreted with the Givenchy gowns. I would die to get my hands on one of those!

I simply adored the detail in the fabrics and how the accessories complemented the also very detailed dresses, and yet still looked flawless. The shoes were also a highlight from the show, they show a sense of classic touch with a modern twist of a working woman.

Another designer who incorporated color and art into the collection was Reem Acra; I somehow felt very connected to the designs the brand presented, as they reminded me of eastern designs and also some traditional outfits. The colors used were very bold.

Following Reem Acra's very bold, feminine and colorful collection, I was also drawn into DVF for the same exact reaosn. The new collection from DVF burst spring and summer very visibly. The floral detail and the bold, colored makeup was absolutely beautiful and full of life.

One more aspect which stood out for spring and summer was the use of nature and florals, which again is a very repeatable trend, specifically for spring and summer. I have witnessed the use of earth greens and tree leaves on many of the designs presented by 3.1 Philip Lim

Carolina Herrera also showed several very femenine pieces, as the fundamental colors present in their spring/summer 2016 collection was salmon pink, white and other soft pastel colors. They also had a hint of floral patterns. Furthermore, Carolina Herrera also interpreted geometry and lines on their designs this collection, which is something I always support as it makes the clothes look so much more expensive.

Capes, jackets and vests have always been a favorite mine for spring season. This year, I have seen several impressive very well tailored suit jackets. I was specifically impressed by Zac Posen, Rachel Zoe, Alexander Wang, ad Vera Wang.

I love the use of different fabrics which involved feathers, sequined dresses, striped patterns, and I have to admit that Zac Posen's cuts and his well tailored suit jackets are absolutely praise worthy.
