Hello beautiful people :]
I have been asked several times in the past about where to find the best prom dresses, or what trends are hot this year for prom? Well, prom season is over this year ... however, I still want to share with you a few prom dress trends that will still be viral during the next few seasons :)
1. The Metallic Gown
The metallic gown has been worn by so many A-list celebrities on the red carpet, and I personally always like to take inspiration from the most fashionable red carpets of the year and implement the hottest trends to any major event I have! such as prom! ... You can find the metallic dress shown in the images above here provided by WeddingBasa.com
2. The low-high gown
The low high gown is a very popular dress cut that many women choose for big events such as prom. It allows you to show off your strong assets, especially for those who have well sculptured long legs! I think this dress provides a very good combination between sexy and cute! You can buy the high-low pink dress shown above here!
3. Red is the new black
Red dresses have always been one of my favorites! whenever I'm in doubt, I go for a long red dress :) ... I like to wear red dresses with golden accessories.
4. Ankle length 'Princess' dress
I have to admit that I have never personally wore an ankle 'princess' kinda dress, and it's not because I don't like those type of dresses, but it's because I never came across the best fit for my body shape.
I think that ankle length prom dresses should be a big thing during prom season :)
5. Open-Back dresses
I am fully aware that open back dresses require loads of confidence, but when you rock a gorgeous open back dress you will be the star of the night for sure!
I am such a big fan of dresses with well designed open backs, and I'd love to try and wear one for a prom. Would you?
I would suggest for those who are willing to try the open back dress for prom to go as light as possible with hair and accessories, and let the open back be the high light of the whole look.
6. Sheer & Sequins
Dresses with a hint of sheer material have been trending for the last 2 years, and were spotted worn by so many celebrities on the red carpet including Emma Stone, Rihanna and Queen Beyonce! ... why not try out a sheer dress for your own prom?
Sheer and sequins are a great combination :)
