Happy Valentines Day :)

Before I start with my fashion/beauty guide for this special day of the year, I would like to express my appreciation towards all of you who follow albalsamlife.com, and I want to say that I truly love all of my readers, and I appreciate your support and interest in reading what I have to offer.

This valentines day, I decided to focus more on beauty. One of the most romantic beauty essentials that I think are suitable for a valentines day date is a good, feminine fragrance. A suggestion that I really find feminine and romantic, is Victor & Rolf's flower-bomb: One of my all time favorite perfumes

Another beauty essential - in my opinion - would be a good colored lipstick that he will certainly notice, red and burgundy lipsticks have been trending since the start of this year! I don't see why you shouldn't surprise him with a sexy bold lipstick color on your valentines day date. I am currently obsessed with this Estee Lauder 'plum cotoure' lipstick

And if you're the kind of girl who prefers gloss over lipstick, here's an alternative for you!

The smokey eye has always been a sign of sex-appeal and femininity, and it is certainly at the top of my list of favorite makeup trends/styles. A gentle soft brown smokey eye is very suitable for valentines day. It can be paired with a very soft lipstick color (such as nudes/pinks/natural coral) and the good thing about it is that it can also be used with a bold lipstick.

I currently love using the Avon Mocha 4 color pallet. I have been using it for over 3 years now, and I honestly cannot live without! I would strongly recommend you purchase it if you're looking for a very affordable gentle neutral smokey eye pallet (click here to buy it). A more expensive - and better! - version of this pallet is the chanel ombre pallet, available here if you're interested!

Another beauty concern that most girls get on valentines day is related to their hair style. I am also always worried about how my hair looks, and whether a certain hairstyle is suitable and for what event.

I personally think that for a valentines day date, you should be able to show your facial featured to the one that you love - giving the impression that you are confident and comfortable with you significant other. Therefore, I would suggest to go for some form of an updo hairstyle (but of cours it would depend on what kind of date you're going to)

A subtle hair accessory will also a long way, floral prints - as you already know if you've read my previous posts - are an absolute favorite of mine.

Cute hair flowers like the following one are very romantic and sweet
