Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.
I have always enforced the idea of keeping the skin moisturized. It is the number one tip that I give to my readers, friends and family. I think that a moisturized skin is a healthy skin, and a healthy skin is a moisturized skin ;)
The importance of moisturizing the skin is somehow still neglected by many individuals - including myself sometimes, which is not something I am particularly proud of when it comes to skin care.
Today, I will inform you exactly why it is important to keep your skin moisturized, and I will introduce you to a lovely product that I believe stands for a very good cause that I am more than glad to be part of.

Why moisturize the skin?

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word moisture, would certainly be 'water'. The skin is in need to remain moisturized. This can be done by drinking the appropriate amount of water daily (which is ideal for your overall health), or it can be applied directly on the skin in the form of a moisturizing cream/gel/etc.
Moisturizers contain ingredients that 'fill' in spaces in between your skin cells, and will therefore reduce the appearance of roughness or dryness in the skin, making your skin less likely to gain wrinkles that are undesired. Moisturizing the skin regularly also helps in demolishing redness or flaking of the skin. It also prevent early signs of aging that clearly nobody dreams of!
One big mistake that many people make is the assumption that only dry skin required moisturizing. My advice to all of you is to keep your skin moisturized regardless the skin type, even if it is oily, it still needs some form of daily moisturizing routine.

My Trusty Little Sunflower Cream

This moisturizer was developed based on a formula that was investigated in Salisbury District Hospital (UK) and was initially used for patients as a daily moisturizer, and was then further developed into a moisturizing cream available for everybody to purchase and use.

This moisturizer is made with 5% sunflower oil, making it helpful in replacing essential fatty acids leaving your skin feeling smooth and soft. It is a trusted moisturizing cream as it has been used for over 20 years in the hospital for medical purposes such as healing burns, scars and for plastic surgeries. This makes it ideal for those seeking a healthy looking and moisturized skin.

I have received a lavender scented trusty little sun flower cream, and I am very impressed with the results! The packaging of the product is very appealing and cute (as shown on the photographs above). I found my skin very moisturized and soft after a single use of the product. The smell of the product (which has a hint of lavender in it) was freshening and it has a 'healthy' smell, which means no harmful perfumes have been used in the making of this product.

I have also noticed that the moisturizer is very well absorbed by the skin, and does not leave the skin looking greasy or too shiny. In fact, the skin feels much cleaner and softer after using the product.

Another good thing that caught my eye about this product is the fact that all the money goes back to patient care in the hospital, which is a beautiful thought as it enables you to contribute to the comfort of patients in the hospital.

Visit the official page for the product here, it is also available unscented for those of you with a more sensitive skin.
