My new year's 'Fashion' resolutions ;)

Happy new year!!

I hope you all had an amazing new year's eve with all your friends and family members :)
Time for new year's resolutions! I know that many of you are sharing your new year's resolutions, so I thought I would also share with you MY new year's resolutions, but with a twist ;)

Since is a fashion oriented blog, it would only make sense to share with my beloved readers my style resolutions that I would like to personally experiment with in this upcoming year of 2014.

Without further comments, let me start with what I believe I would love to see myself wearing more in this fabulous year of 2014

Stripes have always been a favorite of mine, but I have always been afraid to wear them in all forms, restricting myself only to shirts or jackets. This year, I hope to add more striped madness into my closet, all the way from accessories to purses :D.

Black & white is one of my all time favorite colors on clothes, so adding more black & white stripes to my closet is a definite goal for this year.

Think pink, and WEAR it!

One of my  - 'fashion frases' - is to "Think pink, but don't wear it" which comes from the fabulous Karl Lagerfeld (who happens to be one of my all time favorite fashion figures). This year, I'd like to attempt wearing more pink. Although one of my biggest fears is wearing pink, I would love to face it and wear more pink this year! Nudes are considered some form of pink right? :O

More skirts

My sister Salsabil was the one who started my obsession with all sorts of skirts. She once took me shopping, bought me a skirt and a shirt and styled them together on me, and since then I have started buying more skirts!

This year, I would like to continue wearing more skirts, and this time I'd like to start purchasing more patterned skirts, leather, and new materials to try out ;)

Dark yet sweet - with floral prints.

Dark glamour is another fashion style that I fangirl over way too much! I love flowers, but sometimes I don't feel like looking too 'sweet' or too 'girly'. The dark sweet floral trend has been witnessed on many designer catwalks during the 2013/14 Fall/Winter season, including the Givenchy show that I liked so much!

Feathery 2014

Feathers! something I very rarely wear. I personally really dislike feathery earrings, acessories, purses. But, I did see some feathery looks that I really liked and would love to see myself experimenting with such trend :)

Let me know YOUR style resolutions for this year :)

lots of love,

  3. Great post! I love all of these ideas, and wish you the best in the new year with getting these lovely trends off the racks and in the closet! I personally want to get more creative and personal with my style. I have become a victim of the unintentional uniform so I'm hoping this year to bring some more personality into my wardrobe.
